I guess second best is all I will know

Well, not exactly a long time, but more than it was expected really. He wasn’t working at the shop this weekend, and he figured that she was just telling him that she was free though she scheduled it around other plans. Shaking his head, it was something that he didn’t want to talk about though it was always on his mind. Why would she leave him hanging and be with a stupid ass guy who nothing for her, yet she sees that he does? Or why would she get a job he hated? Sure everyone was entitled in their own opinion, but the boy just liked to express himself and speak it. In some sense, he wondered if she thought he was right, but that was something he wondered and he wasn’t going to bother on and on about. Blinking, the boy changed out of his pajamas and into regular clothes, along the lines of a basic shirt and pants. As much as the heat was there, he was usually fine wearing pants and half the time he did when he was working, so it wasn’t a bother to him anymore. All he had to do was grab his phone, keys, sunglasses and wallet and he was out of the house. He liked the idea that he had the house to himself, which in all honesty, it was his house. He bought it with the money he had. It wasn’t a huge fancy house, but suitable for at least three people to live in the house. It was simple and nice. It wasn’t a bachelor pad, but more of a simple type of person with guests living in it, if that made any sense. Getting into his car, he pulled out of the driveway and went off into the town. He didn’t live in the heart of the city, but the suburbs. It was pretty close though to the city, so it only took him about three minutes. Surprisingly, it was a good day today. The weather was fine and all. But knowing that, he figured he could probably sneak a trip later into the shop and just check it out… It was his favorite thing to do, just going to the shop and working on cars… or just hanging out on the boat that his family owned. It was nice, and since that Matt had lived in Miami, he got to take care of it and basically own it as his own. Getting out of his thoughts, Matt looked at the time and shrugged. He figured a diner was a fast food place… right? Or was he just crazy stupid and not know the difference? Well, it had food coming fast enough so that they could eat it. So it must have been a fast food joint. Matthew had finally sent a text to Alexis, well…. Lux actually as what she mostly goes by, stating where he was and that he was just pulling into the lot. He told her he would pay for it, so she gladly accepted the free food. This would be their first meeting for a while, and not over texting or IM or anything. He refused to head over to where she worked . . . her waitress one anyways. Her second one, he didn’t bother. There was no use for him there, he would just go crazy and well, rather pull the trigger than be in there. So it was a tad weird to not go anywhere. Instead of being a loser and waiting in the car, Matt got out of the front seat, locking the door behind him. He entered the diner, walking in and finding a window spot. He sat himself down, setting his phone keys and glasses on the table next to the ketchup bottle. He sighed softly. His eyes went looking around the place then back down to the menu that was being placed down in front of him and the lady standing there. He finally turned his attention to her and gave a small smile. Uhm, a cola for right now.. he said lightly. When the lady left, he just looked outside. Obviously in Miami everyone and everything was busy, it was just simple as that. People were getting their vacations in before leaving again and it was just that happening. Matt would be doing the same thing if he was the one who was visiting Miami for vacation before heading back to some place in the north or west. After a few minutes, the lady returned with his drink and he muttered a thank you towards her. All Matt had to do now was waiting for Lux to get here. Which, he didn’t have no clue on when she would make her grand appearance or anything. Matt looked down at his phone’s clock, just checking out the time again. It barely changed time; just about ten minutes had passed nothing to major of the sorts. People were entering and finding their own seats, none of which were Lux. So, he was just going to keep his time and try to keep his patience. Matt did have some patience, it was rare at times, but he really did. He really did want her to show up, but it all depended on her. |
