--- at least we know we're alive The nineteen year old, well she came to find that she was having a hankering for ice cream. This was in part to blame to Adam Sandler and his daughter screaming she wanted to get chocolate wasted. Miss Parker, was having a movie day to herself today at her little humble abode. Comedy was a major on her list. She tried to be funny upon stage, but she wouldn't mind being funny on the big screen though. Right now, her main focus was her music though, the young lady was really starting to produce some more music that people she was sure could have fun to and grow fond of. Surely, not everyone would be a fan of the music she was coming out with, but her audience for the most part was teenage girls. She hoped that they could related to lyrics in songs such as Freak the Freak out, Best Friends Brother, and son on. She actually couldn't wait for them to hear her new material though. It was slightly more mature while still being fun. Glancing around and no one was about kind of made her frown. She shut off the movie entitled Grown Ups, and went to her room to grab her phone, keys, and some money. One thing about Izzy, well she didn't worry about really being in the public eye. If someone snapped a picture of her getting ice cream then so be it. The cold sweet treat would definitely be appreciated by anyone in this Miami heat! Of course, she had air conditioning, but it was her excuse, and by golly she was going for it. She glanced at herself in the mirror to make sure that her outfit was appropriate. Being that her audience was teenage girls and she hoped she was a role model, well she didn't want the paparazzi or tabloids to capture anything indecent. Sure she was nineteen years old, but it didn't mean she had to act and dress like she was thirty. Her style was mere simple today, as she glided down to her car putting her glasses on. Soon enough, she pulled in to the parking lot and got out of her car a jump in her step as she headed for ice cream. She pressed the lock button and made it into the place. A finger going to her chin as she glanced about all the flavors that were in her reach. This was probably dangerous, being that sugar only really made her energy seem like she was on some sort of high, but she wasn't the type for all that. The girl just wanted some good ol' "Rocky Road, please?" she asked politely flipping her hair back and smiling at the person behind the counter. The person soon gave her the ice cream in a small bowl, because she wasn't in the mood for a cone and all that mess. She moved to grab a spoon after paying and saying. "Thank you, very much." Then she settled on sitting down at a small table and enjoying the sun beaming through the window. She took a spoonful and kind of bounced lightly, at the delight wondering upon her taste buds. .[style=background-color:FA5882;color:black;font-family:georgia; text-transform:uppercase;] tag: openword count: 535 lyric credit: victoria justicenotes: (: outfit credit to BABY DARLING ! @ caution 2.0

my heart is beating like a hammer [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto]Ice cream was one of Clara's great loves in life (pretty much food in general could be placed into this category, but she especially loved ice cream). She had a sweet tooth, and when it came down to it, there was no way she could get rid of the craving, unless she managed to get her hands on whatever it was she desired. Right now, that was ice cream. She was lucky, considering she'd managed to get an apartment in the centre of town, and there were many ice cream parlours to choose from, yet she had her favourite of course. Reaching for her keys, she took one glance around her home, grimacing at the mess she was about to leave it in, before shrugging her shoulders hurriedly and deciding she couldn't really wait any longer. Ice cream was definitely on the cards for her. The house cleaning could wait until she had time (which probably meant it wouldn't happen for at least another week, because she had her shifts at both the coffee shop and the restaurant to take into consideration, and she was always working these days). She wasted no time in hurrying out of the door, locking it securely behind her, and practically bounding down the staircases that led to the entrance door to the apartment block.
Clara had only been living in Miami for the past two years, having left her family behind in Ireland. She loved it here, sure, but it was scary too- living on her own in a new city would be frightening, let alone a new country that was halfway across the world from her family. She missed them, and she missed home, but she knew that this was where she wanted to be. Although she currently worked as a waitress, she wanted to be a song writer, writing for all the stars. She was good- but there was so much competition in the music industry that she knew she had to work super hard at getting coverage of her songs. Miami was the best place to do so. She hadn't managed to make much ground since she'd been here, but she was hoping her luck was going to change sometime soon. She didn't want to be a singer, or a musician, didn't want to be the one performing on stages (she was far too timid for that anyway), but she wanted to be the one listening to her songs and knowing she'd written them, listening to amazing people performing them to thousands of fans. It was her dream and one she'd work hard at to get.
But she pushed the thoughts to the side for now. She had plenty of time to worry about that sort of thing- today was for ice cream. The air was slightly cold as she exited the building, but not in a way that made her want to turn back, and the sun was still shining. She managed to dart around the groups of people on the streets, and made it to her favourite parlour in record time, not stopping to peer into any of the shops, despite her urge to do so. The place was packed when she got there, although it didn't take her long to reach the counter, and she ordered a cookie dough ice cream quickly, almost moaning at the sight of the sweet dessert piled into the paper cup. She paid and thanked the server, before glancing around at the packed place, eyes creasing as she realised all the tables were full. But, nerves or not, she was Clara Ader, used to being bubbly and confident. Without much thought, she headed over to where a girl who looked to be about her own age was sat alone, and plastered a warm smile on her face. "Hey there! Mind if I join you?" [/style] | [/style] |

--- at least we know we're alive The fact that sugar was going to be pulsating through the young woman's veins probably wasn't the best for that of a crowded parlor, but the young woman could not help herself. She had this thing where she just enjoyed the sweet taste of sugary goodness. Of course, that was probably man people's problems. That much was apparent to her. She wasn't the only odd ball here today. Miami was hot though, but of course Florida's weather was kind of always that way with the exceptions that it could randomly rain at any given point. It was rather funny, but she loved it all the same. For being packed they really seemed to hustle outright and keep the line moving. She was quite surprised that she got served so quickly. It was nice for everyone really that wanted the cold treat.
Finding a seat was a even bigger thing, because she wanted to stay and enjoy it here rather then going back home and curling up and having it melt on her. She could have gone and walked around, but no she just decided that it'd be easy to blend in and the spoon fulls of rocky road filled her mouse just pleasantly as she did so. The girl was also people watching. In and out the bell rang and people came. Some of which were looking for seats others which settled on the fact of they weren't going to be sitting inside? When a girl came up to her and and asked if she could join her, well she moved her stuff a little bit out of the way so she could easily share the table. "Of course not, be my guest." she said looking up at her with a sweet smile. Obviously she was blending well enough, which made her happy, because this girl before her seemed sweet, spunky, and like someone she'd get along with. Plus, the attention in this place was on one thing ice cream.
She glanced back out the window for a moment and then waited for Clara to sit down across from her. Like any normal person when she finally did, she smiled her direction. "I'm Isabelle, but you can call me Izzy." [/b] she said introducing herself, well just in case she had absolutely no clue who she was at all. That had happened to her from time to time. She was famous, but not everyone was a fan of everything. No everyone knew who she was, and sometimes she liked that, but she did like the benefit of being able to use her voice to speak up against bullying and stuff like that. It really depended on the day and the situation. Blending in, well it was nice either which way. It always made her feel on top of the world when someone knew her name before she had to introduce them, but on the higher note it always made her day when she could just get to know people in the town she was currently residing in. "This place really knows how to treat a girl on a sugar cook." she joked weakly and took another bite of her treat. Glancing about at how packed it was and back at Clara, well she couldn't resist the urge to keep talking. The sugar was already kicking in, but then again maybe it was more of a mental thing. "This place is packed today, but then again I'm sure it may just be an everyday thing, seeing as the weather is just awesome lately." she said kind of beginning to bounce again on her souls oh so slightly and sway her head back and forth as she ate as if she was dancing only with her head to some sort of invisible music. It screamed happy, and of course she was. She hoped happy was contagious and she wasn't annoying the young woman before her. .[style=background-color:FA5882;color:black;font-family:georgia; text-transform:uppercase;] tag: openword count: 662 lyric credit: victoria justicenotes: (: outfit[/div][/center] credit to BABY DARLING ! @ caution 2.0

my heart is beating like a hammer [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto]Usually, Clara had enough food of the sweet variety stocked up in her apartment to last her, but there were something's she didn't have- such as ice cream from this place. If she could have bought tubfulls of it and kept it in her freezer, she definitely would have. Unfortunately, she was forced to make a trip outside of her home whenever she felt the craving for ice cream. The weather was often warm here, and when she'd first arrived she'd taken ages to get used to it. Dublin had always been typically cold and rainy and blustery, and it was such a climate change that she'd had to take time to settle down properly. She was happy now though, and wouldn't leave for the world. She was used to the weather, and enjoyed it way more than any she had experienced when she'd lived back home with her family in Ireland. Clara had always been a sunshine sort of girl, and rain had never suited her personality- she loved Miami for that reason alone.
It was always difficult to get a table in this place, and Clara could have taken her ice cream back home- but she was far more happy to be outside enjoying the weather now, than she would be if she went to the apartment. It was just her there, and it often felt lonely and cold because of that. Clara enjoyed other peoples company, and despite her typical nerves, she always portrayed herself as out-going and confident in order to secure new friends and strong bonds. Her smiles widened as the girl agreed to let her sit, and started moving her things out of the way to make room. She wasted no time in sliding onto the seat opposite, placing her bowl onto the table at the same time. "Thank you- it's pretty hectic in here, isn't it?" Now that she was closer to the young girl, she looked somewhat familiar- but that wasn't an unusual occurrence. Clara came across famous people all the time in Miami, and she had trouble keeping track on the people she'd seen milling around the city. This girl was definitely of celebratory status, and Clara was sure it'd come to her in a moment. She seemed nice enough to let her sit anyway and that was all that really mattered.
And she smiled! Clara definitely liked people who smiled. Again, the name rang a bell when matched with the face- though Clara was useless without last names too. "It's nice to meet you, Izzy. I'm Clara Brooklyn, but most people just call me Clara or Brook." she grinned, rolling her eyes at herself in a nervous fashion, before spooning some ice cream into her mouth and humming softly at the delicious taste on her tongue. "The ice cream here is to die for, isn't it?" she laughed, her eyes taking in Isabelle's face once more. She definitely knew her from somewhere, and it was bugging her now, but she didn't want to probe. If the girl was famous, Clara had no doubt that people would be hounding her all the time as it was. Clara didn't really care if a person was famous or not- she had gotten used to the lifestyle here in Miami, and as long as a person was nice that was all she really cared about. Personality came above everything else in her eyes. "I know, right? I always come here when I need a pick me up!" she agreed, nodding frantically, eyes flickering around at the other people in the building. There was many who seemed just like them- girls who needed sugar. "The weather's been really great. Much better than it is at home." Clara was aware that her Irish accent was sometimes hard to understand, and she attempted to slow her words down a little in order to make it easier on the people she spoke too. "But we have the beach and the ice cream, so the weather is welcome." [/style] | [/style] |

--- at least we know we're alive At her disposal she really could have any sort of food. It wasn't like she didn't know how to use her kitchen, but the young girl, well she didn't know how to make ice cream. They had made it once she though in her science class, but she didn't remember the exact instructions and well this was so much easier. Ice cream, well making it she was sure it could be fun, but she'd save it to the pro's right now to quench her taste buds. They really were doing that much of a better job she was sure. Okay, so it wasn't as sweet as most would like. Rocky road, wasn't sweet it had this kind of dark taste, but something about it and how the marshmallow's and nuts were blended into it. It was kind of like an adventure? Though, she was probably just over-thinking it all together! It was honestly, just a snack. Isabelle, well she was glad for some company! Most sane people wouldn't mind a little chatter as they enjoyed their day. A new friend was always a win in her book. She nodded when Clara agreed with her. "Yeah, it is..wouldn't it be crazy to work here..they're doing and awesome job though." she said nodding a little bit. She could see herself working here just to see what it was like. The thing with her was, she liked doing normal things, so it was pry a little off, but she would so try it just to show she could do some serious ice cream scooping. "You think you get muscle from scooping all the time? I mean I don't know it seems like it'd work your forearm muscles." she said licking her lips. She was hoping she didn't sound stupid, but didn't it? She quickly glanced over to look at the person scooping, but she couldn't take a note of their arm. She shrugged lightly and smiled back at Clara. "I don't know." she said with a small chuckle. "It's nice to meet you too." she said and tilted her head. "Both are really pretty which do you prefer?" she asked not wanting to call her by the one she didn't prefer. Surely, she had a preference. Or maybe she didn't and that was why she introduced herself as such. "Yes, it really is." she said and smirked looking down at her's it was almost done. "I'd go get more, but I think this gave me just the kick I needed." Okay, so she didn't need a kick she was pretty energetic all her own, but surely Clara would understand what she was trying to say. The girl was so very sweet and cute in a fashion that Izzy just kind of connected with and liked, very much. "Please forgive me, if I am being rude, but you have an accent..are you originally from around the area?" she asked a brown peeking in interest. She couldn't pin-point the accent right off the back which was probably horrible, but it never hurt to ask a question right? Then she mentioned home and instantly she felt herself blush, because no she wasn't from here. ]"The beach sounds epic right now...okay no the water does." she said with a small laugh. It really did after the ice cream and what not. ]"I love it here too...I'm originally from Hollywood, Florida, but I fell in love with Miami." my heart is beating like a hammer [atrb=border,0,true] [style=width: 250px; height: 290px; padding: 0px 5px 0px 5px; font-family: calibri; font-size: 11px; text-align:justify; color: #333; line-height: 99%; overflow: auto]clara didn't really mind having to come out here to get what she wanted, anyway. the walk was short and wouldn't hurt her, and being stuck in her apartment was never a good way to spend the day. plus- she could enjoy good company and warm weather here, whereas in her apartment it'd be her and the voices coming from the television, and the cool air generated by her fan. that was less than satisfactory to her. she enjoyed getting out, and considering she really hadn't been in miami for long, she always seemed to find a new place to explore every day. she was a regular customer at this ice cream parlour now, but there were still places she had yet to discover, and she couldn't wait until she had the time off work to really go and see miami for what it was. she missed ireland, sure- but she loved miami and all it's hidden wonders, and it's celebrities and people that seemed to like everybody. it was pretty welcoming here.
brook was a pretty talkative girl, and so she was always looking for someone to converse with. she liked having company, and it helped to give her something to do- a lot of the time she was all over the place, being so bubbly and hyperactive that she had no idea what to do with herself, and talking to someone always helped. especially when it was a new person, like this girl- it meant she had a lot of stuff to learn about her, and she loved new people! "i already have two jobs, i'd never last a day here on top of that!" she laughed, shuddering at the thought of taking on another job in such a busy place. the coffee shop was always full, and the restaurant was somewhere people frequented more often than not during the nights- she was always running around, on the tips of her toes whenever she had work. "on second thoughts... maybe i should get a job here, if it means i can get muscles!" she grinned at the girl, rolling her eyes at herself, before glancing towards where the worker at the desk was scooping ice cream into a bowl for the next customer. "but it does look pretty hard work to scoop, so muscles are a possibility." she admitted.
"wow, thank you!" brook smiles sweetly, feeling her cheeks flush at the compliment. people often told her her name was pretty, but it was still a nice thing to hear. she liked that this girl was upfront about such things, and not afraid to mention it. some people seemed to be scared of giving people compliments. "well, i like brook, really." she admitted with a short nod. "but honestly, i'm fine with any. people just call me whatever they want." she shrugged, with a small smile. she wasn't too bothered by what people called her really. they were her names after all, and so either of them was fine even if she did have a preference herself. it really depended on what mood she was in, though. "i could eat all the tubs. but i'd be awfully fat." she grinned in return as Izzy said she could eat more- brook would never turn down icecream, but one bowl was usually enough in here. clara was always energetic and bouncy, but ice cream was just enough to keep her going throughout the day. "oh, that's not rude... it's pretty obvious isn't it?" she laughed, embarrassed, before shaking her head slowly. "nope, not from here originally. i'm from ireland, and i moved here a couple of weeks or so ago..." she raised an eyebrow as she awaited a response, spooning some more ice cream in her mouth. although ireland was still brook's home, miami was beginning to feel the same too. "can you swim? or surf?" clara tiled her head to the side as she fired questions at the girl hoping she didn't mind. she could be pretty inquisitive sometimes. "hollywood? wow, that's so cool!" she paused, staring at the girl with wide eyes. "what's it like there?"
notes; sorry for the wait!

--- at least we know we're alive Thankfully, the place was not too far of a drive, because she had somewhat of a fear of driving. In general there was a lot of accidents and it was scary, but at the same time she loved the feeling of the wind in her hair and her car. Her car was her baby! Being that she was nineteen and wasn't as competitive of a driver as a lot of people here it was kind of scary. It was a good distance, but not too too far! The ice cream, well it was well worth it! It was one of the many of her favorite places here. She had lived in Florida her whole life, but Miami's atmosphere, heat, and whole town overall really won her over. She had seen a bunch of different places for being so young, but at the same time this place was home! Not to mention the people were extremely nice here. Sure, there was some people that were mean, but thankfully she found another person that seemed just happy go lucky here today! When she mentioned that she had two jobs already, well Isabelle felt bad, because she hadn't thought it over. Obviously! "It was merely figurative, but where do you work?" she asked curious about her current job sittuation. She didn't know what it was like to have two jobs, and she wasn't as busy as most people and she made a lot of money and she did put a lot into what she did. She never once took it for granted she was blessed to be at where she was at. If one day it suddenly work out anymore she would be proud of what she accomplished and try and move on. "Two jobs sounds quite challenging though surely you can get muscle from all that? I mean it seems like you're strong and very independent from just that information alone." she said speaking her observation out loud. "Right I mean over and over again, their arms have to be warped by the end of the day." she said noting it. "It seems tough but like it could be fun? And discounts on ice cream.." not that she needed a discount but yeah this place would be dangerous for the nineteen year old with the sweet tooth! "You're welcome." she said still smiling. She did mean it, but she kept her manners going on because she was respectful in that manner. Izzy, well she just kind of went with her true feelings. She hoped that she wasn't too forward for people, but at the same time both names were really pretty! "Well, I won't call you whatever I want because that'd pry come off odd hmm? I don't even know I'm silly. Okay, Brook, got it." she said and tucked some hair behind her ear. She preffered Brook, so that was what she would be called. Isabelle was respectful of what people willed even though she said she didn't mind. Her eyes kind of lit up when she said she could eat more too. "Me too!" she said chipperly. "I don't think that'd be good for my diet and I don't think a lot of people would be too happy with me if I ate so much though I'd be fat, hyper, and crazy." not that she already wasn't crazy and hyper. She was relieved when she said it wasn't rude. When she said it was obvipud dhe kind of let her mind serge to try and figure if she could pin point it. "Ireland..I hope to go someday!" she was trying to make her tour expand in other countries like such, bust she wasn't sure if her music reached out that far and if it was a possibility. "What made you chose Miami?" she asked in wonder. Out of the whole U.S. she was curious. "I can swim.. I want to learn to surf one day, but who knows?" she shrugged. "What about you? Picking up on surfing? Swimming?" she asked back. "Well, Hollywood Florida its nice, not as big as Miami, but where I grew up and it had lovely beach fronts as well. Hollywood California is nice as well very fun to see if you're looking for a adventure when it comes to famous people and some of the finer things?" she kind of tilted her head to the side. "The walk of fame, the hollywood sign, tours of where a lot of famous people live, clubs, eatery, shopping.." she said to list the many options that were nice there.
